It's one of our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has 100% in our tests, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.
The smart robot employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and identify obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.
The vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task. It also has an attribute called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house based on how dirty the areas are.
